This week I had the opportunity along with the rest of the team to speak to Lianne from Helping Hands Community Project, which is the local charity Feldon Dunsmore are supporting this year. Lianne talked to us about who they are and the wonderful help and support they give along the way to those affected by the causes and effects of homelessness and what a difference the money we are raising will make and the support that will offer.
A charity that went from sorting out donations in a garage 5 years ago, to now needing around £250,000 a year, they provide support and offer a hand up to homeless, vulnerable people including offering warm meals, training and development, counselling sessions and even horse therapy.
Fairly recently they have built a HMO in Leamington to support young women. They run a soup kitchen in Leamington most nights each week with the support of Greggs. Their charity shop and coffee van provides work and training to people in need in the Leamington, Kenilworth and Warwick areas.
As I am sure you have seen from our recent blog posts, 7 members of our team will be embarking on the Sponsored Three Peaks Challenge on Friday 8th September in aid of this wonderful charity. The support the team have had from our corporate sponsors, friends, family and other colleagues is overwhelming and we cannot express our thanks enough.
We are almost approaching our £4,000 JustGiving target. If you would like to make a donation there is still time to do so by visiting JustGiving
Thank you so much for coming in to speak to us all Lianne, the support that you offer is incredible and we are very pleased to be offering our own small helping hand to the charity’s funds.
