Last Friday we held our first charity coffee morning at our offices on the Leafield Estate, Warwick. It was great to be able to welcome everyone to our offices, eat, drink and show off our fantastic working environment, all whilst raising money for a great cause, Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
Everyone gave generously and we would like to thank everyone that came and took part as well as those who couldn’t make it and kindly made donations on our just giving page. In total we raised a staggering £550 which will all go to Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, who provide life-changing services for people with sight loss.
It was a real team effort baking all the goodies and setting up the event, particularly for those members of the team who spent the afternoon out delivering cakes to local Warwick businesses and raising further valuable donations.
We enjoyed the company of a few working and retired guide dogs from our local Guide Dogs for the Blind Association in Leamington, who were the real stars of the day. It’s testament to the great nature and training of the golden retrievers that the cakes all survived, it might have been a different story if our DOGS Beatle or Kiara had been in attendance. The insatiable appetite of a Labrador might have proved all too much for them, so they stayed at home for the day.
Throughout the year we have various other activities planned to raise funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, including our practice manager Caroline Mann who has a place running the London Marathon for them in October.
Thanks again to everyone involved and we look forward to doing it all again next year!
